Maximizing Sun Harvesting on Land

Ground-mounted solar is the industrial gold standard for reaching multi-megawatt captive clean energy capacities. Every hectare of land is engineered to capture peak diurnal irradiation while minimizing balance-of-system (BOS) costs.

From hard-rock terrain and black cotton soils to flood-prone areas, our structural engineers execute bespoke ramming, helical screw-piling, and storm drainage designs that guarantee a 25-year structural lifespan.

Common Questions

Typically, 1 MW of ground-mounted solar with modern high-efficiency TOPCon bifacial modules requires approximately 3.5 to 4 acres of unshaded, contiguous land. If single-axis trackers are used, roughly 4 to 4.5 acres are utilized to accommodate inter-row pitch and avoid shading.
Our civil engineers perform on-site geotechnical core drilling and axial pull-out test loads. In cohesive, compact soil, hydraulic ramming is fastest and most cost-effective. For rocky strata or loose black cotton soil, pre-cast concrete ballasts or cast-in-situ micropiles are engineered.
Greenpill provides turnkey execution: route surveys, right-of-way (RoW) clearances, transmission tower/pole erection, conductor stringing, terminal bay construction, and CEIG approvals directly with state transmission utilities (e.g. GETCO, MSETCL, etc.).
