Deep Decarbonization

The Clean Fuel for Heavy Industry

For hard-to-abate sectors like steel manufacturing, ammonia fertilizer plants, cement kilns, and petrochemical processing, batteries alone cannot replace fossil energy. Green hydrogen provides the high energy density and molecular reduction agent required for total decarbonization.

Greenpill designs and builds end-to-end green hydrogen ecosystems: from dedicated gigawatt captive solar/wind arrays to water demineralization, state-of-the-art electrolyzer balance-of-plant, and high-pressure buffer storage.

Clear Facts

Frequently Asked Questions

Grey hydrogen is derived from steam methane reforming (SMR) of natural gas, emitting 9 to 12 kg of CO₂ per kg of H₂ produced. Green hydrogen uses 100% renewable electricity to split demineralized water via electrolysis, producing zero emissions and helping companies meet National Green Hydrogen Mission and carbon border tax (CBAM) requirements.
Stoichiometrically, splitting water requires ~9 liters of purified demineralized water per 1 kg of hydrogen. Accounting for reverse-osmosis water polishing and cooling tower loops, total plant consumption is approximately 10 to 12 liters per kg. Greenpill systems can integrate industrial wastewater recycling or desalination.
Safety is paramount. Our plants feature automatic nitrogen purge systems, ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 flameproof sensors, optical flame detection, positive ventilation roofs, automated emergency shutoff valves (ESDV), and separation distances rigorously aligned with NFPA 2 Hydrogen Technologies Code.
